This is a nice basic, and cheap, little Hasegawa kit, went together really well. A tiny issue with the nose to engine mount fitment to help it seat properly otherwise the kit is a joy. Working now on trying to up my paint game a bit regards tonal variety or post shading. It involves using the same main colours but either lightening or darkening it a small amount to get the required effect. I preshaded first with panzer grey primer, then some thin top coats of Olive drab so the preshading still just shows through and then the post shade to lighten off some panels and areas with the olive drab plus a drop of white. I'm just sort of experimenting with it whilst looking at a bunch of different pics and of course, some artistic licence. The post shade is done with a really thin mix, 6-7 drops thinners, 3 olive, 1 white at about 12-15 psi and then softly softly spray on Daniel san.
Work, it really cuts into hobby time! Despite pulling some big shifts and only getting Sundays off, she is nearly done. Pretty happy with how the worn olive drab has come out, not real sure about the oil colour i chose but i'll have to live with it now. The old decals went down flawlessly.
Some basic weathering, chipping pencil to finish off as most of it was incorporated into pre and post shading work. Fun kit to knock out.
