Overall this was a good learning build and i realise i have only barely dipped my toes into the water regards the stressed metal effect side of modelling. Some sections, the rear fuselage, i was very happy with and others, the wings, i seem to have lost a lot of the work. Like mentioned earlier, i struggled to capture the effect and the chipping also does a good job at negating it as far as capturing it with a camera as opposed to seeing it oneself. The effect is something that requires a lot of patience and i'm sure i would need several more kits under my belt of this nature to really get a handle on it. I'm in awe of the guys that can really knock this sort of stuff out of the park. All that said, i do like where my build has ended up. When i started modelling about a year and a half ago, a highly beaten up finish like this was something that i thought was well out of my reach and yet here it is. With the help of so many modelling sites and youtube, one can really experiment in so many techniques so much more easily than when i was a kid, and still have fun doing it.
